If you have a larger budget or your product can be sold for a relatively high price you can use paid advertisement to get more traffic and sales. You can promote your feed posts and stories on Instagram.

When you use paid advertisement on Instagram the most important thing to remember is the targeting of your ads. You should try to use as specific targeting as you can to get most out of your ads. This means that you need to identify your audience:

  • where they live
  • what is the average age of your follower
  • what kind of things they are interested in

Once you know your audience you need to target your ads to them. If the audience is too wide Instagram will have big troubles finding the right people.

You should also know that using a too small budget can ruin the performance of your ads. When you use ads Instagram tries to find people who likes your content and target the ad to similar people. If you budget is too low or you run your ad only 1 or 2 days Instagram won’t have enough time to find those people.

So if you want your ads to perform the best they can, you should have at least a 30$-50$ budget and show the ad at least 14 days.
